A note from our founder.

Manuel T. Robinson built PORRS from lived experience — in his own words.

“The distance between falling through the cracks and building a life is often just one person who refuses to give up on you.”

I built PORRS from the other side of the things our members are facing.

I know what it is to come home with a record and feel every door close before you reach it. I know recovery not as a theory but as a road I’ve walked — one day at a time for many years — and I know how much it matters when someone who’s been there walks it with you.

For a long time, the system handed me forms and phone numbers and expected me to find my own way. I didn’t have a guide. So I became one.

Peer Outreach Recovery & ReEntry Services is the organization I needed back then. We meet people where they are — in recovery, coming out of incarceration, trying to navigate AHCCCS, the VA, the courts — and we don’t let go. Every person on our team understands that the distance between falling through the cracks and building a life is often just one person who refuses to give up on you.

That’s who we are. Reaching back. Pulling forward. Together.
